Autumn Morning

When finally the mosquitoes have started their winter slumber and the morning air becomes crisp and brisk, then is autumn in Ohio.

Last night was your Weeblos pack meeting with Pack 85 at St. Luke's Church. This is your third year in your den with John Simpson. Rich Cutter is den leader this year.

You complained of a stomach ache in the morning so we skipped school. Instead we we took Breeanna to her program at the Narrows. She is taking a Nature Preschool with Mrs. Mel this month.

Throughout the program you listened to Tom Swift and his Aerial War Ship on www.librivox.org. It's a fictional story about a boy inventor (that was reccommended for fourth grade by the Robinson homeschool site. The site makes reccommendations of public domain books that children read on their own. Mr. Robinson is a scientist who had many homeschool children. His wife died and he didn't have time to work with each child yet he still wanted to homeschool. He designed a curriculum in which children educate themselves from their readings using free public domain books).

After the Nature Play Program, Breeanna napped and you read The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. I have feeling that you will know more about Egyptian gods than I ever will as it is a main subject running throughout this series.

As night descended mommy talked to you about Manners...how important it was to understand that your words and actions have an impact on others and how each will reap a consequence accordingly.

Then we read a chapter from The Story of Science about Thomas Acquinus and how he bridged the ideas of Middle Age theology and the science of Aristotle.
