A Hard Spring
Dear Bryan,
The rain dribbles down on an overcast day. Spring showers. It feels gloomy like the depths of winter.
I set some pear trees out front. I hope in time they will grow to shield our house from the apartments across the street.
I write to let you know that you are alone in this world. Your life is your own. Your work is your own.
Take heart and know that others are a gift in your life.
Its hard meet with their approval. Sometimes you find success. Sometimes you find utter failure.
Earn your own friendship and self respect. Nothing is better than an endeavor in which you've done your best.
We've had a tremendously hard quarter nearing the end of school. I teaching you day by to do for yourself and others.
Summer is coming but I feel a cold wind blow because the summer before us will when childhood will lie behind you and the expectations and rigors of manhood lies before you.
