Weekly Summary

Monday mommy had the last of 3 dentist appointments. Out of pocket expenses were $1600 total for teeth fillings. We went to Chick Fil-A for their free milkshake in the afternoon. The line was sooooo long. We waited at least 30 minutes.

Tuesday we saw Doogal at the Regal. You were soooo happy to ride your bicycle to the theater and lock it up to the tree. Breeanna did not like being confined to her stroller during the movie. She complained so much then fell asleep. After the movie we played at the park. In the evening daddy took you to swim practice at the Dabney Pool. Peach homeschoolers had their end year curriculum sale and mommy picked up a few books for us.

Doogal Movie Review

1. Rating: 10
2. Movie's message: They are trying to find the diamonds.
3. Bryan would help the snail get his scarf down because it kept getting in the way.
4. Bryan could not identify with Doogal...not always going for candy like that.
5. The movie did not portray life as it really is. A dog can't talk.
7. This program was worth Bryan's time.
8. Doogal kept wanting to save his friend. Bryan would do that too.

Wednesday we saw Evan Almighty which was soooo funny. Breeanna ran up and down the theater steps all throughout the movie. After the movie you said, "That's what God looks like." Later in the evening you had your first ever game of softball. Mommy went over the rules of the game in the car. Mommy and daddy and Breeanna sat in our folded chairs and watched the game. In the end you scored a point for your team. I don't think you like softball as much as basketball. It does require a little more patience.

Evan Almighty Movie Review

1. Rating: Infinity
2. Message: God was trying to get him to build an ark.
3. Bryan would help the main character build his ark.
4. Bryan could not identify with any of the characters.
5. Bryan thought maybe the movie could portray real life. Bryan says he doesn't know.
6. The movie was worth Bryan's time.

Thursday
we went to Barnes and Nobles for storytime. The kids made paper airplanes and they flew it everywhere in the kid's area. In the afternoon daddy took you to Garden Club then swim practice at the Dabney pool. Breeanna had an appointment at 4 Oaks to see Ms. Betty Gee for the Parents as Teachers program and she said it was important to label Breeanna's feelings for her now and start getting her to do chores like putting away toys.

Friday
we went to do the T Shirt Bug decorating program with the Beavercreek Library. You drew some bugs on a T Shirt and mommy wrote, "Catch the Reading Bug" which is the theme for Greene County's Summer Reading Program this year. The librarians really liked how you drew the bugs on your shirt.

Saturday you and daddy went to Lowes to do your wood project. Then daddy took you Barnes and Nobles to the storytime. Afterwards you went to the Snake Festival at Cemex Reserve. Then we all went together to your promotion ceremony at the Ground Zero Martial Arts studio. On the way over mommy read to you about insects. Daddy's shock absorbers on the back of his car went out and you had a very bouncy ride. You made sound effects every time we went over a bump. At the studio mommy saw your red martial arts outfit on you for the very first time. You looked amazing. The program started with you and all the kids doing slow movements all together like Tai Chi. Then the forms were done...wolf 1, wolf 2, wolf 3...and other animal forms that mommy don't remember...then fans, spears, swords. Near the end you broke a wooden board by kicking it and then everyone got their colored sash for their promotion. Mr. Moon said other kids your age could not get promoted and they could not attend the ceremony so you were the youngest to be promoted and recieve a yellow sash. He said he would start teaching you the fan and then sword forms. He calls you "Bruce Lee". That's your nick name. I think you really like that.

Even though it was a great program, you were not happy that you had to sit out so much of the program. Mommy reassured you that within two years you will have all the forms memorized and will earn a black sash and will participate from beginning to end.

Sunday daddy took you and Breeanna to the Kettering Water Park. The electricity went out at the Main Street house and daddy had a stand alone freezer full of food. You were very sad because you thought the food were entirely ruined. Daddy told us the next day that the electricity came back on. Thank goodness. What an incredible week!
